SOMATIC HEALING SESSIONS
Somatic Healing in Durham, NC
Trauma-informed, body-based care to support regulation, resiliency, and reconnection.
I offer trauma-informed somatic healing sessions for individuals navigating nervous system dysregulation, chronic stress, and the long-term effects of trauma. Whether you're recovering from developmental trauma, shock trauma, or struggling to feel connected to yourself and others, our work together creates space for deep regulation, presence, and reconnection.
My clients often describe feeling stuck, disconnected, or like they’re always “on edge.” Many have a history of early attachment wounds, intergenerational trauma, medical or sexual trauma, or mysterious health issues that haven’t responded to traditional approaches. Together, we work slowly and gently to restore your capacity to feel safe, grounded, and more at home in your body.
What is Somatic Experiencing®?
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a body-based approach to trauma healing that works directly with the nervous system to resolve the effects of stress and overwhelm. Instead of retelling your story, SE helps you notice and shift the physiological patterns stored in your body — such as tension, freeze, hypervigilance, or shutdown — so you can gradually move toward more ease and resiliency.
What is Transforming Touch®?
Transforming Touch® is a gentle, trauma-informed touch modality developed by Dr. Stephen Terrell. It's designed to support healing from developmental trauma — especially early attachment wounds and experiences from the first three years of life. This work provides the kind of regulation, containment, and co-regulation many of us missed during critical windows of development.
